Sea Turtle IS Project

5th Grade Independent Research Project

Ladies and Gentleman of the 5th Grade,

If you can type more than 25 words per minute, you may spend the rest of the quarter working on an indendent research project.

I would love for you to start with the amazing little video from the TedEd website about the Survival of the Sea Turtle.

Next, I would like you to learn the facts about Sea Turtles.  The best place to start, of course, is our online Encyclopedia Britannica:

http://school.eb.com/

Then, I would like you to explore the various links and websites located in the "Dig Deeper" on the TedEd page...

Then, have a look at some of the photos and resources located on the Arkive website:

http://www.arkive.org/

When you have worked through all the resources, write an Email to me telling me what you found to be most interesting in the project:  mbmorell@htsdc.org

I would like you to create a project using either Glogster or Prezi communicating the things that most intrigued you to the class.  A rubric follows.
